Yellow Hammer Stonework

Stone Pier goes up at Cockington Court, Torquay. Standing at over the three metres high, the imposing natural stone structure mimics older columns nearby and leads to the new crafts studios development at the centre. Now open to the public, the pier took three weeks to build using local stone and a silver sand traditional lime mortar mix to best blend in with the existing columns. Workers from Social Enterprise firm Hillcrest Branch supported the build.
